Some connections don’t arrive with noise or intention—they grow quietly, in the spaces we didn’t realize were waiting to be understood.
This poem shows a gentle closeness in which nothing is hurried and everything feels important. It’s about feeling at ease with someone and finding a sense of home within yourself.
# You Became Mine #
I didn’t know
I was waiting for you.
Not in a grand way—
no wishes,
no dreams with your face in them.
Just a quiet space in me
that felt a little empty
on some days.
And then you came—
not to fill it,
but to sit beside it
like you understood.
You didn’t ask me
to be better,
or brighter,
or anything more
than what I already was.
You just stayed.
And somehow,
that was enough
to make me feel
like I was enough too.
Now it’s the small things—
the way I think of you
without trying,
the way your name
feels softer in my mind.
And I don’t know
what this is yet.
But I know this—
if you ever feel tired
or lost in your own thoughts,
I want to be the place
you come back to.
The same way
you became mine.

This poem is truly heart-touching Verma ji. 💛
The beauty of such connections is that they arrive quietly, without noise or conditions, and somehow make us feel whole. Reading this feels like someone understood that quiet, empty space within and simply chose to be there with nothing more than their presence, yet it changes everything.
“Real love is the one that makes you feel enough just by being there.” ✨
