# The Power of One Letter #

Daily writing prompt
What is one word that describes you?

Life, for most, is a collection of words strung together. Degrees, careers, relationships – each gets a label.

But for me, one tiny word encompasses it all: “A.”

You might raise an eyebrow. What kind of artist claims a single letter as their core principle? Well, my friends, let me tell you, this “A” holds a universe within it.

Growing up, Vijay Verma wasn’t always an artist. I was surrounded by a different kind of art – the art of living. My childhood instilled principles that defined me. But “art” itself was a vast term, wasn’t it?

To be an artist, I realized, I needed an Artistic mind. One that wasn’t afraid to explore, to constantly seek new ideas.

But being an artist, I soon discovered, wasn’t just about paint. It was about living an Artful life. Gardening, swimming, and even the mundane chores of housework became opportunities to bring a touch of creativity and a thoughtful approach.

Indoor games, yoga, meditation – they all weaved a tapestry of well-being, a celebration of life itself.

All these activities, from the artistic to the seemingly mundane, kept me young. They nourished my soul and kept my mind sharp. Even now, as a retired banker, I find myself basking in the joy of creating.

Now, some might find it strange, this shift from my job in finance to Art. Maybe even stranger is my foray into blogging, storytelling, and poetry. But you see, for me, it’s all about becoming a complete artist, an artist from within.

The moment I embraced this Artistic freedom, my world exploded. Ideas bloomed like wildflowers, interests like vibrant butterflies. Hobbies that sparked happiness became my companions.

My health became a priority, and I adopted A healthy lifestyle, embracing nutritious food and banishing stress and addictions.

This blog is my way of sharing that journey, that exploration of the Artist within. Every page is a brushstroke, every post a testament to the joy of living a creative life.

And who knows, maybe it will inspire you to find your own “A” – your artistic spark, your unique way of living a life filled with purpose and joy.

Here’s what my “A” means to you:

This Art of creation manifested in my passion for drawing and painting. The world became a canvas, and I, a curious explorer, was wielding brushes. Every stroke, every medium was a chance to lose myself in a world of my own making.

Adventure:

Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Explore new hobbies, take up a class, travel somewhere unfamiliar. Let life surprise you.

Awareness:

Be present in the moment. Savor the small details, the colors of a sunset, the scent of freshly baked bread.

Authenticity:

Embrace your true self. Don’t be afraid to express your creativity, your passions, your unique voice.

Action:

Don’t just dream, create! Turn your ideas into reality, one step at a time.

Appreciation:

Be grateful for the little things and the big ones. Find joy in the every day, in the people around you.

Let’s embark on a journey of discovery together, my friends. We’ll explore the power of the tiny word “A,” which has the potential to bring creativity, purpose, and joy into our lives.

Let’s create our own masterpieces, whether it’s with a brush stroke, a word, or a moment. We’ll take it one step at a time and enjoy the process.
