  2. I love the explosion of color, and I take it you know that person you’re painting and you seem to like her

    • Thank you so much.
Yes, there’s a deep connection there—knowing her makes the colors come alive.
Affection, admiration, and familiarity naturally find their way into the palette.
I’m really glad you felt that warmth and energy in the painting.

  4. You art is absolutely stunning! 🙂 Have you always done it, or is it something you picked up later? With me, i used to draw a lot as a child but didnt draw since i finished secondary school and only took it up again almost 20 years later. 😅 So it took a while for me to catch up! Do you have some advice/tips for drawing, any is good, because at the moment i mostly draw favourite characters and my own characters i come up with, again in a cartoony style but would like to learn a bit more about shapes and proportion 🙂 And a happy new year to you! 🤗

    • Aww, thank you so much—that really means a lot to me 🙂✨
I love how you shared your own journey too. Honestly, that’s such a familiar story—drawing freely as a child, life taking over, and then art quietly calling you back years later. The fact that you returned to it after 20 years is something to be proud of. Art has great patience with us 😅🎨

      • Thank you so much! 🙂 And yes- all too often, life gets in the way, we get put on different paths, but its great when we can come back to it! 😀 Its a bit sad how many people give it up, either due to lack of time of thinking they can’t do it anymore. I’m still looking for ways to improve, as for now its mostly characters in a cartoony style i seem to be drawing! Always on the look out for advice and tips 🙂

        • You’re very welcome! 🙂 And you’re so right—life has a funny way of pulling us away from the things we love, but the fact that you came back to drawing says a lot. That spark never really leaves; it just waits patiently.

Honestly, sticking with a cartoony style is not a limitation at all—it’s a strength. Characters are where expression, storytelling, and personality live. Improving shapes and proportions doesn’t mean abandoning that style, just gently strengthening its foundations.
