# The Mirror Within #

A reflective poem about a mystical mirror that doesn’t show appearances but reveals the truth of one’s inner self.

It reminds us that we are not defined by the labels others give, but by the fire, kindness, and dreams that live within us.

# The Mirror Within #

There was a mirror, unlike the rest,
It showed no face, no painted crest.
It spoke of fears, it echoed blame,
The shadows that carried my name.

One day, weary, broken, torn,
My soul cried out, tired, forlorn:
“Who am I, when the masks all fall?”
The mirror replied — “You are all.”

Not what they said, not what they see,
But the fire within, the will to be.
Strength unspoken, kindness shown,
Dreams still waiting to be your own.

  1. This is profoundly beautiful. The concept of a mirror that reflects the inner self—not the labels or the external judgments, but the core of one’s being—is a powerful and moving metaphor. It speaks to the universal struggle to see ourselves truly and to remember that our identity is made of strength, kindness, and dreams, not the shadows of fear or blame.

A truly empowering piece. Thank you for sharing it Verma ji 🌷🤝

    • Thank you so much for your deeply thoughtful words. 🌸
I’m glad the mirror’s metaphor resonated with you. Indeed, learning to see beyond the labels and judgments takes courage,
but it’s also where true freedom begins.
When we recognize our worth in the quiet strength of our own being,
the shadows lose their grip, and what remains is the light of authenticity. ✨
May we all find the courage to stand before our own “mirror” and honor the self that has always been enough. 🙏

    • I’m truly touched by your kind words. 🌹
It means a lot that the poem spoke to you in such a heartfelt way.
The mirror, in many ways, is within us all — waiting for the moment we dare to look past borrowed voices and rediscover our own.
I’m so glad those lines resonated with you, as they carry the essence of what we all need to remember: that our worth is not given, it is lived. ✨
Thank you for embracing this reminder with such depth and grace. 🙏
