# A Meeting With Myself #

In the rush of life, we frequently look for success, love, and answers outside, ignoring our inner self. “A Meeting With Myself” is a heartfelt poem about self-discovery and regret, highlighting the lessons learned from introspection.

It reminds us of missed opportunities and the inner strength we could have discovered if we had taken time to connect with ourselves earlier.

A Meeting With Myself

My life could have been gentler, light as air,
Had I met myself with a little more care.

The face in the mirror, so blurred and shy,
Might’ve shown strength, had I dared to try.

No grudges would anchor my soul so deep,
If I’d smiled instead of choosing to weep.

I chased the light through distant skies,
Blind to the glow in my own quiet eyes.

Why did I let the questions silence me?
When effort alone could set me free.

At every crossroad, I stumbled and fell,
While others flew — I couldn’t tell.

In sacred books, I searched for grace,
Yet missed the truth in every face.

Now I tremble to meet my gaze,
A stranger shaped by passing days.

Oh, had I known this truth of old —
That knowing myself is the purest gold.

  1. This poem is a poignant reflection on the cost of neglecting self-awareness—how we chase external validation while the answers lie within. The regret is palpable, yet there’s wisdom in the realization: true freedom begins when we finally turn inward. A tender, sobering reminder to meet ourselves with kindness *before* the years slip by. 🌿

Yes, it’s often in those quiet moments of inner reckoning that we realize how long we’ve searched outward for what always lived within us.
Your words echo the heart of the poem: that self-kindness and awareness aren’t luxuries,
but necessities we must embrace before time quietly passes us by. 🌿🙏
