Hello dear friends,
I hope this blog finds you in a cheerful and love-filled mood.
Today’s writing prompt is wrapped in the fragrance of roses and soft melodies — “What’s your definition of romantic?”
It’s a question that touches the heart and brings back fond memories of smiles, walks under the moonlight, and companionship.
However, I believe romance goes beyond candlelight dinners, roses, or love notes — even if they are nice.
To me, romance is about being present, noticing the little things, and showing care through small gestures.

🌸 Romance is in the Everyday
True romance is often subtle. It’s your partner remembering how you like your tea — a bit of ginger, no sugar. It’s holding hands in a busy street. It’s doing laundry together while singing an old Lata Mangeshkar song.
To me, romance is when love becomes effortless habit — the way you look into your beloved’s eyes to see if they had a good day before you even ask.
🕯️ Not Always Grand, But Always Gentle
When I was young, I too thought romance was about writing love letters or planning big surprises. And yes, they are delightful — but over the years, I’ve learned that romance matures, just like we do.
Now I find romance in unexpected places:
- In a shared morning silence over the newspaper.
- In wiping each other’s spectacles.
- In the laughter that erupts after forgetting the lyrics of an old song.
- In slow dances in the living room, while the cooker whistles in the background.
These moments might not be captured in films, but they truly enhance a partnership.
💌 Romance is Emotional Understanding

To me, one of the most romantic things is being understood — truly, deeply. When someone knows when to speak and when to just sit beside you quietly, that is romance.
It’s not about solving each other’s problems — it’s about being there while they’re figuring them out. It’s knowing when to push and when to let go.
Romance is not perfection. It’s acceptance — of flaws, quirks, and moods.
🌹 Romance is Timeless
Romance doesn’t age. I’ve seen elderly couples who still lovingly argue about whether they locked the main door or not, or whether they added enough salt to the curry — and then burst out laughing. That, to me, is deeply romantic.
The world may chase youthful, glamorous love, but seasoned love has its own poetry.
It’s built on trust, stories, and weathered storms — hand in hand.
💭 My Personal Definition
If you ask me to define “romantic” in one sentence, I’d say:
Romantic is when love becomes a verb — a continuous, conscious choice to care, to comfort, and to celebrate each other through life’s simple moments.
🕊️ A Scene That Stays With Me
Let me share a personal memory. Once, after a tiring day, I found a small note on my desk from my partner: “I know you’re tired. I’ve made your favorite khichdi and kept it warm. Let’s eat together after your nap.”
No flowers. No drama. Just warmth. Care. Presence. That evening was more romantic than any date at a five-star hotel.

💖 Romance is Also Within Us
Let’s not forget that romance isn’t only about relationships. It’s also about how we romance life.
- Waking up early to watch the sunrise.
- Writing poetry in the rain.
- Playing with your grandchild and feeling time pause.
- Dancing when no one’s watching.
When we live with joy, curiosity, and compassion — we become romantic souls.
🌼 My Submission
So dear friends, don’t wait for a special date to be romantic. Romance is not limited to lovers or age. It’s about being alive to moments, sensitive to feelings, and generous with kindness.
Next time you see someone tuck a strand of hair behind their ear with a smile, or carry an umbrella for their partner, or just sit quietly and share a sunset — know that you’re witnessing romance in its purest form.
Let’s make life a little more romantic — every single day.
With love and warmth,

Absolutely, you’re so right.❤️
When a woman truly feels loved, cherished, and respected, her heart opens with boundless care and devotion. She’ll walk beside you through storms, celebrate your little victories, and fill your life with warmth and magic.
Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s the foundation of unwavering partnership. 🌹
