# A Tribute of Love and Longing #

O, Dear Mother

Another year passes, but the pain in my heart doesn’t lessen. Time moves on, yet this day always feels the same — filled with memories, longing, and the silence of your absence.

Today, the anniversary of your passing brings with it a deeper silence, a storm cloud that gathers over the heart.

But amidst this sorrow, there’s a soft flicker of light — the warmth of your memory, the echo of your laughter, and the strength you left behind in me.

Though life denied me the chance to hold your hand or see your smile, your presence has never left me. It lives in my dreams — those quiet, sacred places where time collapses and love endures.

In those moments, I feel your embrace like a gentle wave washing over me, soothing the wounds that time could never truly heal.

You gave me more than life; you gave me strength. You taught me — without even being there in body — to weather storms, to search for beauty in the smallest corners, and to hold on to hope, even when the world seems steeped in darkness.

You were my unseen guide, my guardian angel. And though I never got to serve you, to care for you the way a child dreams of doing, I carry your essence in every heartbeat, in every tear I shed, and in every word I write.

Today, I take up my pen to whisper my love into the wind — hoping it finds you in heaven.

Here is my humble tribute in the form of a poem, from a child who never stopped longing:

O, Dear Mother

O, dear mother, where do I begin?
Your face, a mystery I hold within.
Never once did I feel your touch,
Yet I long for you, I miss you much.

The world spoke of your endless grace,
But I never saw your loving face.
Fate was cruel, kept us apart,
Still you reside within my heart.

You stayed near, yet so far above,
Denied the warmth of your purest love.
I couldn’t serve, nor ease your pain,
God knows I tried, but all in vain.

A silent prayer I send each night,
To meet you in heaven’s light.
Till then, I cry with a soul so bare —
O, dear mother, none can compare.
(Vijay Verma)

As I write these words, a tear falls — not out of despair, but love.
Thank you, Mom, for being the silent pillar of strength in my life.
You are not forgotten. You are not gone.
You live in me — eternally...

    • Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. 🌷🤝
They truly mean a lot to me on this emotional day.

This tribute is a small attempt to express a love that words can never fully capture.
A mother’s blessings, even in absence, continues to guide and comfort us in ways we don’t always understand.
I’m grateful you felt the emotion behind it — that’s the greatest honor to her memory. 🙏✨
      Stay blessed.

  3. Your words deeply touched my heart.
Your emotions, your memories, and the sense of that irreplaceable loss — everything has been expressed with such truth and tenderness that it moved me profoundly.

This is not just a tribute, but a portrait of eternal love — one that transcends the physical and resides in the soul.
Your writing reflects not only your deep love for your departed loved one but also becomes the voice of all those who have experienced such a loss.

May God grant you peace, strength, and balance.
And may you continue to pour your emotions into words — for they can become a balm for many hearts. 🙏🌹

    • Your words mean more to me than I can truly express. 🙏🌹
Thank you for embracing my emotions with such empathy and grace.

What you’ve written feels like a gentle hand on the shoulder — comforting, understanding, and deeply human.
Yes, this tribute was born from personal pain, but hearing that it resonates with others and gives voice to shared grief is the greatest solace I could receive.

If my words can be a balm for even one heart, then I feel my purpose is fulfilled.
May we all continue to find strength in each other’s stories, and healing through the language of love.

      With heartfelt gratitude,
