#Goodbye, My Dear Winter#

Farewell, My Dear Winter

Winter, a season that intertwines warmth with cold, holds a special place in our hearts. It arrives like an old friend, filling our days with beauty and nostalgic aromas.

Yet, as time moves on, winter must say goodbye, leaving us with memories and a promise to return.

This poem pays tribute to winter’s cherished presence, capturing the bittersweet emotions of its departure and the anticipation of its comeback.

Farewell, My Dear Winter

Oh, my dearest winter, my friend,
I wait all year for you to descend.
Your frosty touch, your silent embrace,
Brings me solace, such a gentle grace.

You are my comfort, my midnight muse,
In your stillness, my soul finds clues.
But time has turned, you must depart,
Leaving echoes within my heart.

Farewell, dear winter, fading slow,
As eyes seek the sun’s warm glow.
Farewell to leaves, brittle and torn,
Yet giving life a chance to be reborn.

Farewell to carts of peanuts and sweets,
Tilkut, rewari, and Patali Gud’s treats.
Their sweetness lingers in every street,
Making our winter days feel complete.

Farewell to woolen socks and quilts,
Standing guard like soldiers, firm n built.
Farewell to shivers, to chilled frozen air,
To shrinking thoughts and silent stares.

Farewell to Parijat’s fragrant nights,
To frozen dreams and dimmed delights.
Farewell to the mist that veiled my heart,
Smoldering fires that warmed each part.

Yet in this farewell, hope takes flight,
You shall return, my heart’s delight.
With open arms, I’ll wait once more,
Till winter knocks upon my door.
