Echoes of Loneliness

The ocean of my heart, it fiercely roars,
A storm of chaos pounds upon its shores.
Amid the crowd, I stand so lost, so bare,
Loneliness drapes me, its weight hard to bear.

Tears brim my eyes, yet none to console,
No tender hand to mend my aching soul.
So many claim they love, they care, they see,
The truth is none remain to truly comfort me.

Dreams lie buried, far from reach, concealed,
Grievances flood like wounds that never healed.
Who will hear the whispers of my strife,
When even those I trust have left my life?

Oh, my heart, where shall I seek release?
How do I quiet you, how find some peace?
If no one stands to hold my trembling hand,
How do I walk this lonely, barren land?

Yet still, a flicker of hope starts to ignite,
Perhaps one day, there’ll come a guiding light.
To dry my tears and share the weight I bear,
To speak the words that heal my deep despair.

They’ll come, I know, and help me understand,
And in that moment, I’ll find love’s gentle hand.
The darkness will dissolve, the cold will cease,
And in their presence, I’ll find desired peace.
