Whispers of the Heart

Why do you mourn, dear heart,
What clouds your spirit today?
Why let the cruel hands of time
Lead your spirit so far astray?

Life’s journey is never smooth,
No matter how grand or wise,
Even the sages, with all their years,
Couldn’t unravel its hidden ties.

Life is a riddle, a fleeting dream,
We chase its meaning in vain,
Joy and sorrow dance in turn,
But it’s never quite the same.

Tears and sorrow bring no change,
But the play of life goes on,
So hold your ground, stay resolute,
Soon, this darkness will be gone.

Cast off the veil of sadness,
Wrap yourself in joy’s warm light,
When you change, the world will follow,
And happy morning will follow the night
