A yellow leaf’s journey symbolizes the passage of time and life’s bittersweet experiences.
The leaf narrates its transformation from vibrant youth to quiet resilience, witnessing the changing world around it.
The Pain of a Falling Leaf
I am a yellow leaf,
Wrinkled, old enough now,
Fallen and separated
From my loving tree.
Once, I was young and green,
Providing shelter and shade,
Welcoming souls of loving pairs
Sings Song beneath my embrace.
I witnessed the glory of the past,
Shared thoughts and true stories,
Captured moments of bygone times,
As people sat and dreamt near me.
Now, I’ve fallen, but not vanished,
Not mingled into the mud of the earth.
The wind carries me away,
Over mountains and clouds.
I fly through this memorable world,
I see the poverty of human beings,
Cheating men deceiving fellow men,
Unseen truths are now revealed.
Perhaps time has changed,
People too have changed,
Their hearts have changed,
Their attitudes have changed.
“In golden flight, a solace found,
Goodbye, dear tree, bye-bye sky.
Aching my heart before the end,
Now, find peace, a heart to mend.”

Beautiful, Vijay. But sad too … I love autumn as a season, but yes it brings sadness as it marks the end of summer and decay … but even fallen leaves can give us joy with their beautiful colours and the sounds and fun of walking or running through crispy leaves

Thank you for your beautiful words and for finding the beauty in my poem.
Autumn, with its mix of sadness and splendor, truly reflects the cycle of life.
The end of summer brings a certain melancholy, but the vibrant colors of the fallen leaves and
the joy of walking through them remind us that there is beauty even in decay.
Nature has a way of showing us that every end can also be a beginning, and that even in the quiet moments of change,
there is something to cherish. The sound of leaves crunching underfoot and the sight of golden hues can bring joy and a sense of peace.
Let’s embrace the beauty of autumn and find comfort in its unique charm.
