A Silent Promise

A frosted rose petal hidden deep,
Within my diary’s pages, it sleeps.
A dream it bears, a heart’s desire,
Bloom upon my chest, a vibrant fire.

I long to walk beneath endless skies,
Shouting love’s anthem, with teary eyes.
This fragile bloom, so pure and white,
Fears the world’s touch, the fading light.

To protect from unkind eyes, harsh hands,
Would mar its beauty, break its strands.
So close I hold, with warmth untold,
A silent promise, in her stories unfold.

Acceptance’s touch, a gentle tear,
Releases burdens, quells the fear.
A world I dream, where love will thrive,
My frosted rose, stayed happy and alive.

The world will see, my love’s embrace,
A frosted rose, with tear-stained grace.
Forever blooming, whisper to thrive,
“May love like this, forever survive.”
