Reflecting on the past can bring a sense of gratitude for the experiences we have had and the lessons we have learned.
Now, I continue the story of the previous Blog, Let us recall the same.
There was one more condition:
the tenant could not cook or consume non-vegetarian food in the house. Marwari Community is generally Vegetarian and God fearing. We would solemnly swear to abide by this rule, take the keys, and try our best not to break their trust. The house I got was very beautiful, and all our friends lived nearby.
Being from Bihar, it was hard to go without meat and fish for long. Since we lived alone without our families, we would occasionally have secret parties on Sundays in our house as if no one knew.(To be continued)
But, there is a saying that, no matter how clever a thief is, they eventually get caught one day. The landlords had spies keeping an eye on us. The Marwari and Jain communities were strictly against non-veg and so their Eyes were on us.
One day, apart from the two of us, our bank staff members Kailash and Madan decided to have a party in my residence. That was Sunday and I was free from Banking
The plan was to prepare chicken and rice, but everything had to be done secretly so no one would suspect anything, otherwise we would be asked to vacate the house immediately, and finding another house would be difficult for us.

We were taking a big risk
We were taking a big risk by having a non-veg party with four friends in my house. That day, the four of us were together because we all lived alone. We had divided the tasks beforehand.
Rajesh was to get the chicken, which he had to fetch from 5 kilometers away near the Jawai Dam area at 5 AM in the morning to avoid detection. I was in charge of the other ingredients, and Kailash was responsible for the liquor for the party. Madan was to cook meat but with self-service.
Everything started according to plan. When the chicken began to fry, its aroma started spreading even outside the house. Kailash, upon entering the house with the liquor, found that the smell of chicken was reaching outside.
When we looked outside, we saw some neighborhood dogs gathering near our house, sniffing the aroma. Fearing to catch hold, Madan had an idea. He lit all the incense sticks in the house to mask the smell of the chicken aroma.
But dogs are dogs; they can recognize the scent of delicious meat very well.
Somehow, the food was prepared, and we decided to quickly finish it as if it were a living bomb in the house. We were so nervous about getting caught up in a Non-vege party, that we canceled the further plan to drink and dance to music to enjoy the party.
We now focused on eliminating all traces of the non-veg food. We quickly switched to a buffet system. When a delicious meal with chicken is in front of you, you tend to eat more.
Yes, After eating, we had to dispose of the leftover bones. We packed them in an old sweet box, placed it in the motorcycle’s Box, and planned to bury them 5 kilometers away to leave no evidence behind.

But God had another plan
But God had another plan. After the delicious meal, naturally, we felt drowsy and decided to take a small nap. We left the bone-filled packet in Rajesh’s motorcycle trunk, intending to dispose of it in the evening.
Our nap was interrupted by a commotion outside. We saw some children flying kites near the house, and in their running around, they knocked over the motorcycle, spilling the sweet box that was full of chicken bones.
The dogs tore it open and started feasting on the bones. The neighbors saw the chicken bones in the sweet box, and our secret was not secret then.
Our party was ruined, and ultimately, we were given an ultimatum to vacate the house. The next day, our search for a new house began.
Cherishing our memories is like Jewel
Yes, friends, Cherishing our memories is vital because they are the jewels that adorn the crown of our existence. They shine brightly and eternally in the tapestry of our souls, each one a precious reminder of the journey we have undertaken.
These memories connect us to our past, ground us in the present, and inspire us for the future.

In our fast-paced world, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, forgetting to pause and reflect on the moments that truly matter. Taking time to remember and appreciate our memories allows us to savor the richness of our lives. It is in these moments of reflection that we find meaning, purpose, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
So, let us cherish these memories, holding them close to our hearts and revisiting them often. Let us celebrate the joys and acknowledge the sorrows, recognizing that each memory, no matter how small, plays a crucial role in shaping who we are.
Our memories are the threads that weave the fabric of our lives, creating a unique and beautiful tapestry that is a testament to the human experience.
In the end, our memories are not just a collection of past experiences; they are the essence of our being. They are the treasures that we carry with us, the jewels that adorn our lives, and the guiding stars that illuminate our path.
Let us embrace and cherish these memories, for they are the true gems that make our existence meaningful and profound.
