Tears of Regret

My eyes well up with tears,

Whenever I see

The sorrowful face of the elderly,

My heart yearns to embrace them,

 And to say, “Forgive me,

The fault was ours.

But can these words change anything?

Can that heal the wounds

Inflicted by indifference,

His unbearable pain

caused by loved ones?”

I pray to God

To return the love they’ve lost,

To give them the happiness

They seek.

I too am lost

In the labyrinth of relationships,

With no clue to the destination,

No paths to lead me

Back to my loved ones.

But I will not give up,

I will not surrender,

For my relationships,

And for my love,

I will keep fighting.

That day will surely come,

When they will understand my pain,

Feel my love,

And then

Return to my life.

Until then,

I will wait,

For my love,

For my relationships,

And for their presence in my life.

Oh, God, this pain would end,

And indifference vanishes,

Yes, those days would return,

When we were all together,

I wish.. I wish…
