This poem explores the profound grief felt after losing a mother. It captures the hollowness left behind, the cherished memories, and the unwavering love that transcends loss.
A Tribute to Mother
In the hollow echo where laughter once danced,
A void now lingers, where warmth once entranced.
Death’s silent grasp, a burden unseen,
A constant weight, where tears intervene.
Your light, now dimmed, in the vast expanse,
Leaves shadows engulfed in sorrow’s trance.
Memories flicker, like ghosts in the night,
whispered jokes and dreams taking flight.
The world moves on, its relentless stream,
Yet in our hearts, you’re an eternal beam.
Oh, mother dear, no verse can convey,
The depth of loss we endure each day.
Tears flow freely, words fail to console,
In the gaping chasm that swallows us whole.
Faces may fade with time’s ceaseless chime,
But in our souls, you’ll forever shine.
No words can heal this rift so wide,
No verse can express the pain inside.
Yet with every tear, your love we bear,
An endless bond, beyond compare.
