# Lost in Myself #

This delves into the struggles of self-doubt and the yearning for change amidst the relentless passage of time. It captures the feeling of being trapped by fear and uncertainty, unable to break free from the constraints of one’s own mind.

Despite the overwhelming sense of stagnation and missed opportunities, a glimmer of hope shines through, symbolized by a flickering ember in the darkness.

The poem encapsulates the universal journey of seeking courage to defy self-imposed limitations and embrace the possibility of transformation.

# Lost in Myself #

Time’s relentless beat, a taunting refrain,

Echoes of “if only” cause me endless pain.

Dreams of transformation, bold and untold,

Yet shackled by fear, I remain in the cold.

Life’s canvas, vibrant, with hues to choose,

Yet I stay still, my colors to lose.

The river rushes on, a relentless ride,

While I stand frozen, on the lonely side.

Knowledge, a vast sea, I let it crown,

In walls of doubt, I let myself drown.

Days slip away, gifts I fail to claim,

Anxious whispers, bearing my shame.

But hope remains, a flicker in the dark,

A tiny ember, waiting for a spark.

Perhaps today, I’ll break this self-made chain,

Praying for the courage to break this frame.

Indeed, in the darkest of times, hope persists as a resilient flame, guiding us through the shadows
and illuminating the path ahead. Your acknowledgment means a lot—
it reminds us of the enduring power of hope, even in the face of adversity.
Together, may we nurture that flicker into a beacon of light for ourselves and others.

  2. I suppose the older we get, the less we care about imaginary limitation set by either others or ourselves.

    • You’ve hit the nail on the head.
Yes, Age often brings with it a liberating sense of self-awareness and
a disregard for the limitations society or we ourselves may have imposed.
It’s a beautiful evolution, isn’t it? Embracing our true selves and charting our own paths,
unencumbered by imaginary boundaries, is one of life’s most empowering journeys.
      Thanks for sharing your feelings.

  4. It is a problem many people have.

For me, breathing helps to get back to the here and now. I don’t mean just breathing, but really concentrate on one’s breathing.
