# A Grand Adventure in Vizag #

: Embracing the City of Destiny

Hello dear friends,

I trust this blog post finds you in high spirits and good health.

Today, after a long time, I was flipping through the pages of my old diary, the memories of the Vizag visit were refreshed after reading the details of the visit in my diary..
Yes, I was just refreshing old memories by looking at photographs of some small waterfalls, sea beaches, and natural beauty in the surrounding areas of Vizag captured on my mobile. Vizag is also called as city of destiny.

Join me as I share the exciting experiences from my memorable visit to this jewel of the East Coast, a city that captivated my family and me just a year ago.

Adventure: A Mindset, A Way of Life

Before we delve into the details of our exploration, let’s talk about adventure – a mindset, a way of life. To me, adventure is not just a physical pursuit; it’s a mindset that craves new experiences and challenges.

It’s about finding joy in the journey, embracing the unknown, and growing through the process. The adventure begins not when you reach your destination, but the moment you set foot on the path less traveled.

Day One: Rishikanda Beach – Where Goa Meets Vizag

Our journey kicked off with the sun-kissed shores of Rishikanda Beach, a surprise package of beauty, cleanliness, and vibrant activities that instantly transported me to the lively atmosphere of Goa. Speed boats, jet ski rides, and kayaking awaited us, promising an exceptional experience that marked my first visit to Vizag.

As the soothing sea breeze enveloped us, we witnessed local fishermen preparing for their ocean ventures, adding an authentic touch to the picturesque scene. Our family embraced the moment, reveling in the joy of photography and creating lasting memories against the backdrop of this pristine beach.

KAILASHGIRI: A Hill Station Gem

Eager for more, we ventured to KAILASHGIRI, a hill station boasting a colossal holy statue of Bhagawan Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. Spanning 380 acres of lush landscape gardens, Kailasagiri was rightfully awarded “the Best Tourist Spot” in 2003 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Our ascent to the hilltop was made magical by a cable car ride – the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh. The plastic-free initiative by VMRDA reflected a commendable commitment to preserving the environment.

At the summit, a plethora of attractions awaited, including the Titanic viewpoint, a beautiful floral clock (one of India’s largest), and Shanku-Chakra Namas of Bhagawan Venkateswara of Tirupati.

The ropeway and toy train offered us breathtaking views of the ocean and the city of Vizag. The Shanti Ashram atop the hill provided a peaceful sanctuary for meditation, allowing us to soak in the tranquility of this enchanting hill station.

Our adventure continued with a visit to the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, where we explored the inside of a decommissioned submarine, gaining practical insights into its functioning. The adjacent aircraft museum, featuring the TU142 aircraft, offered an informative and thrilling experience, showcasing the inside of the actual aircraft with its original settings.

The day culminated with a splendid train ride under the banner of ‘Sarada Roadways Kailasagiri Hills Tour.’ As we traversed the hilltop, witnessing the endless ocean on one side and the beautiful Vizag city on the other, the 20-minute journey became a highlight of our visit.

In essence, every 20 minutes brought new faces aboard, highlighting the popularity of this unique train experience. Vishakhapatnam had already woven its charm around us, leaving us with splendid memories and a deep appreciation for the beauty it offered.

The adventure had just begun, and we couldn’t wait to unravel the wonders of the second day. Stay tuned for the next blog, where I’ll share the exciting highlights of our continued exploration in this City of Destiny.. Thanks for staying, Please share your feelings.
