I use colors and shapes, lines and shades

To express what I feel, what I see, what I say.

Yes. I am an artist, and I sing with my heart

I share my stories, my dreams, my scars

I use melodies and rhythms, words and tunes

To convey what I hope, what I fear, what I choose.

Yes. I am an artist, and I write with my mind

I create my worlds, my characters, my lines

I use plots and themes, genres and styles

To communicate what I imagine, what I learn, what I find.

Yes, I am an artist, and I live with my passion

I follow my vision, my purpose, my mission

I use my skills and talents, my gifts and abilities
