In the hustle of life, I recently found myself grappling with a surge of frustration, questioning the root cause behind my mounting irritability. A moment of introspection revealed that while it’s easy to pinpoint faults in others, recognizing our own shortcomings often eludes us.
This realization led me to a profound truth – our discontentment affects not just us but ripples through our entire family.
It reminded me of a childhood proverb:
“Bura jo dekhan main chala, bura na milaya koi;
jo dil khoja aapna, mujhse bura na koi”
(I went in search of evil, but found none;
when I searched my own heart, no one was worse than me).

To navigate such situations, it’s crucial to ponder and address our own flaws, striving for self-improvement.
I recalled reading about the “Ten Sutras for a Happy Life” and decided to incorporate them into my journey of lifer. Let’s explore these principles:
I – The Most Selfish One-letter Word:
Realizing that excessive expectations (I) from ourselves and others can lead to frustration. It’s essential to foster realistic expectations and consider the expectations of others for a harmonious existence.

2 – We – The Most Satisfying Two-letter Word:
Recognizing the joy in giving and serving others, as true happiness lies in shared experiences. Building connections and relationships contributes to a more fulfilling life.
3 – Ego – The Most Poisonous Three-letter Word:
Acknowledging the negative impact of ego on our lives and relationships. Letting go of egoistic tendencies opens the door to understanding, empathy, and genuine connections.

4 – Love – The Most Valuable Four-letter
Word: Embracing love as a powerful force that not only enriches our lives but also positively influences those around us. Cultivating love fosters a nurturing environment.
5 – Smile – The Most Pleasing Five-letter Word:
Recognizing the power of a smile to uplift spirits, not only for oneself but also for others. Smiling through challenges fosters resilience and a positive outlook.

6 – Gossip – The Most Fast-Spreading Six-letter Word:
Filtering and ignoring gossip helps maintain mental peace and prevents unnecessary conflicts. Focusing on positivity and genuine connections fosters a healthier social environment.
7 – Jealousy – The Most Burning Eight-letter Word:
Acknowledging the destructive nature of jealousy and consciously working to eliminate comparisons. Celebrating others’ successes rather than harboring resentment leads to personal growth.

8 – Success – The Most Hardworking Seven-letter Word:
Embracing the understanding that success requires hard work, patience, and resilience. Viewing failure as an opportunity to learn and grow contributes to eventual success.
9 – Knowledge – The Most Powerful Nine-letter Word:
Continuously seeking knowledge for personal and spiritual growth. Recognizing that acquiring wisdom empowers us to navigate life’s challenges with grace and understanding.

10 – Connection – The Most Divine Ten-letter Word:
Embracing the interconnectedness of all things and fostering a connection with the divine. Recognizing that spiritual practices and meaningful connections contribute to a profound sense of contentment.
Incorporating these sutras into my life has been transformative. As I navigate the complexities of existence, I find solace and purpose in these guiding principles.
The journey towards a fulfilling life is ongoing, and these sutras serve as a compass, helping me navigate towards contentment, joy, and meaningful connections.
BE HAPPY….BE ACTIVE….BE FOCUSED….BE ALIVE…
