#A Journey of Self-Forgiveness#

A journey of self-discovery

This is an emotional and introspective poem that explores the relationship between the self and the narrator’s inner struggles. The poem delves into the themes of self-criticism, self-acceptance, and ultimately, self-forgiveness.

The narrator confronts their past mistakes and regrets, offering a heartfelt apology to their own self for the pain inflicted. The poem then evolves into a promise of self-love and support, a commitment to nurture and embrace one’s own identity.

The title reflects the central theme of the poem, which is a journey of self-discovery and healing through forgiveness and self-compassion.

# Self-Forgiveness #

My dear self, I’ve come to meet you,

After a long time, I’ve finally found my way.

I’ve come to apologize for the wrongs I’ve done,

The injustices I’ve committed, day after day.

I’ve been too hard on you, I’ve criticized you,

I’ve compared you to others, and let you down.

I’ve held you back from your dreams,

And made you feel unworthy of a crown.

But no more, my dear self, no more.

I’m here to tell you that I forgive you.

I forgive you for all the mistakes you’ve made,

And for all the times you’ve felt blue.

I forgive you for not being perfect,

For being human, and for having flaws.

I forgive you for everything,

And I promise to love you, without any pause.

My dear self, I’m so sorry for the pain I’ve caused.

But I’m here now, and I’m ready to make amends.

I’m here to support you, and to help you grow,

And  no doubt,  I will be your best friend.

So let’s start over, my dear self.

Let’s create a new story, full of love and light.

Let us forgive each other, and move on,

And build a future that is joyful and bright.

I love you, my dear self. I will Pray

I love you more than words can say.
