#Blessings of Goddess Lakshmi#

Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is an annual spring festival celebrated by Hindus and Jains in India. The festival fell this year on the third day of Vaisakha, i.e., the 22nd of April.

The word “Akshaya” means “eternal” or “imperishable,” and “Tritiya” means “third day,” so Akshaya Tritiya is believed to be a day when good fortune and prosperity never diminish.

The significance of Akshaya Tritiya varies according to different traditions and beliefs.

On this auspicious day, we expect from the Goddess Lakshmi:

Fame, knowledge, courage and strength, victory, good children, valour, gold, gems and other valuables, grains, happiness, intelligence, beauty, higher aim, higher thinking, morality, good health, and long life.

  • This day is considered highly propitious for starting new ventures, buying gold, investing in properties, and seeking blessings for a prosperous future.
  • It is believed that on Akshaya Tritiya, Lord Kubera, the god of wealth, and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, shower their blessings abundantly on those who perform virtuous deeds.

It is believed that buying gold on this auspicious day will bring good fortune and prosperity throughout the year. Gold shops are adorned with attractive jewelry and offer special discounts and schemes to attract customers. People also buy gold coins or utensils and perform pujas (ritualistic worship) to invoke the blessings of the deities.
