I write. not because I like to, but because this is the only way I can express myself. Yes, This poem is a tribute to the reason for writing as a form of emotional expression.

It acknowledges that the act of writing can be a therapeutic release, a way to process difficult emotions, and a means of finding hope in a challenging world.

My poem usually describes how I turned towards writing as a means of communication, when my spoken words fail to express myself.  I am using the written word as a form of solace and sanctuary.

My poem celebrates the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity, and the transformative power of art to uplift and heal. Yes, I write:

Words are the only solace I find,

When emotions flood my mind.

I cannot speak, I cannot cry,

But on paper, my heart will never lie.

The pen moves across the page,

As my feelings start to engage.

A torrent of pain, a wave of grief,

But somehow, through the ink, I find relief.

My words are the only way to breathe,

When life’s struggles make it hard to believe.

They are the keys to unlocking my soul,

When emotions threaten to take their toll.

I write to heal, to make sense of it all,

To find hope in a world that is so small.
