A tender reflection on holding on, letting go, and discovering that hope is not always about someone’s return. Sometimes, it is the quiet courage to open the window, embrace a new morning, and find yourself again.
# One Fine Morning #
I kept a little hope
alive inside my heart,
long after you
had walked away.
Every night I whispered,
“Tomorrow, I’ll let you go.”
But every morning,
that foolish heart of mine
whispered—
“Not today.
Perhaps tomorrow.”
I knew some doors
close forever.
I knew some roads
lead only to memories.
Still,
I waited…
for one last meeting,
one unfinished conversation,
one impossible chance
to make things right.
Then, one morning,
I finally understood—
Hope is not always
about waiting for someone.
Sometimes,
it is simply believing
that life can still bloom
after something beautiful
has ended.
So I stopped waiting.
I opened the window
and let the morning in.
Not because
I had forgotten you—
but because
I had finally remembered
myself.
And for the first time,
I let the dawn
find me again.

What a breathtakingly beautiful piece, Verma ji. You’ve painted the most delicate portrait of the human heart—its stubborn tenderness, its quiet rebellion against logic, and its eventual, grace-filled surrender to healing.
The way you contrast the whispered “tomorrow” with the morning’s “perhaps tomorrow” is so achingly true. And that turning point—”Hope is not always about waiting for someone”—is the kind of truth that stops you mid-breath. It’s not a loud epiphany; it’s a gentle realization, like the first light slipping through a curtain.
That final image—opening the window and letting the dawn find you again—is pure poetry. It speaks of a courage that is soft, not fierce. The courage to choose yourself, not in spite of love, but because you’ve learned to carry it differently.
Thank you for this tender, luminous reminder that letting go is not forgetting; it is remembering yourself into wholeness. Truly, truly moving. 🙏✨

Thank you so much for such a deeply felt and beautifully expressed response. 🙏
Your words have touched me more than I can say.
I’m especially moved by the way you understood the quiet transformation at the heart of the piece—the movement from waiting for someone to returning to oneself. Sometimes healing does not arrive with a dramatic moment; it comes softly, almost unnoticed, like the first light of dawn.

I’m delighted that the post touched you. The human heart is such a fascinating place—full of emotions, memories, hopes, and sometimes even mysteries that words struggle to explain.

This is so beautiful, Verma ji 🤍 Sometimes letting go isn’t about forgetting someone, but about finding your way back to yourself. That last line really stayed with me. 🌸🦋😍

Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt words. 🤍🌸
I’m glad that the last line stayed with you.
Sometimes the hardest part of letting go is understanding that it isn’t really about losing someone—it is about finding ourselves again after giving so much of ourselves to love, memories, and expectations.

Thank you so much, my friend. Your beautiful words truly touched me. ❤️
I’m grateful that the poem could convey even a little of that feeling. Sometimes our deepest scars become the very places from which we find the courage to rise again.

Thank you so much! 😊 Your generous words about my photography and drawings truly made me happy.
Photography allows me to capture a moment, while drawing lets me recreate it through my own imagination—both are wonderful ways of preserving memories.
