# Selling Dreams and Hope #

Daily writing prompt
If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

Hello dear friends,

I hope this blog finds you in a cheerful mood and good health.

When I read today’s writing prompt—“If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?”—my heart didn’t take even a second to answer:
I would sell dreams.

Not just any dreams, but the kind that lift you up when life weighs you down. The kind that whispers hope into your ears when the world is too loud.

The kind that takes you back to your happiest memories—or carries you forward to the life you’ve always imagined.

In my dream shop, there would be no cash counters or heavy price tags. Dreams are priceless, and in my store, they’d be free for all.

Imagine stepping through the door of my little cosmic shop. The air smells faintly of rain on fresh earth. Shelves are lined with jars of joy, bottles of courage, and pouches of laughter.

A soft golden light glows from the ceiling, not from bulbs, but from captured sunbeams.

There’s a corner for youth regained—where wrinkles turn to dimples and tired eyes sparkle again. Another corner holds trouble slayers—dreams so strong they cut down worry like a sword through mist.

There’s even a “Memory Lane” aisle, where you can revisit the days you thought were gone forever.

And right at the heart of the shop, you’ll find a large table marked “Hope”—because hope is the dream that keeps all other dreams alive.

Here’s my poem for my dream-selling shop:

# I Sell Dreams #

I sell dreams—come, step inside my store,
Where hopes take root and wishes soar.

I’ve got realms of wonder, skies of bliss,
And magic that greets you with a gentle kiss.

It will light your soul with a silver gleam,
And fill your heart with a joyful dream.

No price to pay, no chains to bind,
Just treasures to heal your weary mind.

Come, choose the dream that calls to you,
A world of colors, fresh and new.

For life is brighter when dreams take flight,
And hope is the lantern that burns through night.

So here I stand, with open hands,
Selling dreams to hearts across the lands.

Without dreams, life becomes mechanical—a list of tasks instead of a journey of possibilities. Dreams give us purpose, inspire creativity, and keep us moving forward even in the face of challenges. They help us heal, love, and imagine a better tomorrow.

If I had a shop, I wouldn’t just be a seller—I’d be a caretaker of hope, a gardener of imagination, and a humble companion on your journey to joy.

So if one day you see a little shop at the corner of your street, with its sign painted in bright, happy colors reading “Dreams for Sale”, step inside.

I’ll be waiting there, with a dream just for you.

  3. This is absolutely beautiful! ✨ Your “dream shop” feels like a place where the soul could wander and leave lighter than it came. The imagery is magical, and your poem ties it all together perfectly.
