Me and My Love

In the quiet corners of my aging heart,

Her laughter — like music, soft and free,
It soothed my mind, the very soul of me.

Eyes that spoke what lips never dared,
In every glance, I saw she cared.
No need for promises, not even words,
Our silence sang like morning birds.

We danced beneath the monsoon skies,
Barefoot dreams and longing sighs.
With every touch, the world stood still,
Two hearts beating with a single will.

But time, that thief in velvet shoes,
Painted her absence in deeper hues.
She’s gone where I cannot yet go,
But her love remains — a steady glow.

I see her smile in falling rain,
In blooming jasmine, I feel her again.
In the evening breeze, I hear her hum,
A song of love — where I am from.
