# Singapore: A Journey of Wonders

My Trip Abroad: Exploring Singapore

After landing at Changi Airport, we took a bus to our hotel while engaging in delightful conversations. It was around 10:00 AM when we arrived at Hotel Pinnacle.

However, at the check-in counter, we were informed that the check-in time was 2:00 PM. This meant we had to wait for nearly four hours in the lounge.

Having traveled overnight, exhaustion was creeping in. After much persuasion, the hotel staff allowed us to check into our rooms by 12:00 PM.

The hotel was magnificent. After a quick shower and lunch, I was about to relax when I received a call from the hotel reception, informing me that we had to leave by 6:00 PM for the famous Singapore Night Safari.

Excited, we decided to skip resting and left the hotel on time. We had heard a lot about Singapore’s advanced technology-driven entertainment experiences.

We were eager to witness them firsthand. Singapore, after all, is one of the world’s most preferred tourist destinations.

Our guide briefed us about the Night Safari, the world’s first nocturnal zoo and one of Singapore’s top attractions.

Spread over 86 acres, it houses nearly 900 animals across 100 species. We boarded an open tram, which moved at a slow pace through the jungle.

Under the twinkling night sky, we caught glimpses of various wild animals. It was thrilling to see them roaming freely in their natural habitat.

We spotted Malayan tigers, Asian elephants, and Tapirs, species that are on the verge of extinction. The entire experience was surreal, making us forget our travel fatigue. It was a night to remember!

By the time the Night Safari ended, hunger had set in. At around 10:00 PM, we returned to the hotel, enjoyed a delicious dinner, and retired to our rooms. As soon as I lay on the bed, I fell into a deep slumber.

The next morning, my phone alarm buzzed at 6:00 AM. Despite the exhaustion from the previous day, I had to get up quickly, as breakfast and the day’s itinerary had been pre-planned. Any delay would mean missing out on the group tour.

After a quick shower, we headed to the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel’s restaurant was just as exquisite as the hotel itself. To my delight, they served delicious Indian cuisine, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Post breakfast, we assembled in the lounge, where Rajesh and his family were already waiting for us. Soon, a large tour vehicle, arranged by our tour operator, arrived, and we set off on our city exploration.

As the car sped through the streets, we marveled at Singapore’s spotless, well-maintained roads and towering skyscrapers. Not a speck of litter was visible anywhere, reflecting the city’s discipline and cleanliness.

A local lady guide, fluent in Hindi, accompanied us, making our journey even more enjoyable. The lush green trees lining the roads were meticulously maintained, adding to the city’s beauty.

It was evident that Singapore is a city of affluence and modernity.

Our first stop was the much-awaited Universal Studios Singapore, a world-renowned theme park.

Upon entering, we were transported into a world of fantasy. The park is divided into multiple sections, each offering a unique experience.

Our group chose to visit the Jurassic World attraction, where we boarded a boat that navigated through a canal surrounded by an artificial jungle.

Lifelike animatronic dinosaurs emerged from the foliage, roaring with such realism that it felt like we had stepped back into prehistoric times. It was an exhilarating experience!

Time flew by as we explored various attractions. Some people enjoyed high-speed rides, while others watched spectacular 5D movie shows.

The Hollywood section of the park recreated famous movie scenes, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how some blockbuster films were made. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we couldn’t explore everything.

As the sun set, Singapore transformed into an illuminated wonderland. The dazzling city lights made the skyline even more breathtaking.

Our next destination was Orchard Road, known as Singapore’s shopping paradise. Since the city was celebrating various festivals, the entire street was adorned with twinkling lights and cheerful faces.

Orchard Road is lined with luxury shopping malls, and we decided to take a leisurely stroll to soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Not wanting to miss out on a shopping experience, we stepped into one of the grand malls.

The variety of products and renowned global brands available at reasonable prices amazed us.

After indulging in some shopping, hunger pangs hit us once again. We searched for a restaurant and were delighted to find one serving authentic Indian cuisine. The food was delicious, and for a moment, it felt like we were dining back home in India.

Exhausted from the long day, we yearned to return to our hotel for a good night’s rest. As we drove back, we reminisced about the day’s adventures, cherishing the unforgettable experiences we had shared.

Thus, our second day in Singapore ended on a high note, filled with adventure, exploration, and camaraderie. Traveling with another family made the journey even more enjoyable.

Stay tuned for more exciting travel tales from our Singapore tour!
