This poem tells the touching story of a family that, once united by love and trust, fell apart due to outside influences.
The tree in the courtyard symbolizes the changing relationships and the fragility of trust, highlighting the hurt caused by misunderstandings.
Through emotional verses, it illustrates the effort needed to keep connections strong and the sorrow that comes when they are lost.
The Pain of Shattered Bonds
Once courtyard stands, so tall with pride,
A tree whose drooping branches confide.
They whisper a tale, both old and new,
Of love once strong, now fractured in hue.
Three generations lived beneath its shade,
Bound by smiles and sacrifices made.
For each other, they gave their all,
Eager to catch when one feared to fall.
Differences came, but didn’t remain,
They faded like dew in morning’s rain.
Together they thrived, in harmony stood tall,
Their hearts united, their fears none at all.
One day, a foreign bird arrived,
Knocking softly, seeking to survive.
Shelter it found, respect it earned,
Stayed in their hearts, as happiness turned.
Days went by, all seemed just fine,
Until storms brewed beneath the vine.
Peace vanished, and love was torn,
The home’s harmony lay forlorn.
The stranger’s presence, once a boon,
Became a curse beneath the moon.
The true master, in his own nest,
Now lived as a guest, unexpressed.
Today, that courtyard, stained with tears,
Holds echoes of love, now lost to fears.
The tree’s leaves fall, brittle and dry,
Mourning the bonds time couldn’t untie.
Its branches bleed, its roots cry out,
“To welcome the world, we had no doubt.
But now, giving shelter feels like a curse,
To open hearts is a burden perverse.”
The wounds of trust, still raw and deep,
In the silence of the night, they weep.
The garden once lush with laughter and cheer,
Now stands as a witness to loss and fear.
Let this tale of the shattered tree,
Remind us of bonds and what they mean to be.
Love, trust, and unity are fragile yet true,
Nurture them wisely; they depend on you.

We have shattered the bond over petty things. People have stopped teaching their children to respect their elders.
