Life can feel lonely even when we’re surrounded by others. In these moments, we seek comfort, understanding, and someone to listen.
This poem captures the feeling of being overlooked in a crowd, where the heart yearns for connection and peace.
The Silent Cry
Today, I feel a heavy weight,
Do you know why, or is it fate?
For in my heart, there’s endless noise,
But no one hears my silent voice.
Tears fall freely from my eyes,
Yet no one comes to still my cries,
Amongst the crowd, I stand alone,
So many near, yet I’m unknown.
So many faces, none that care,
I search for warmth, but none is there.
Tell me, heart, what should I do,
When all the love feels far from true?
I shout inside, the world is loud,
But I’m unseen, lost in the crowd.
Among the noise, I stand so small,
Hoping someone hears my call.
Tell me, heart, where should I be,
When none are there to comfort me?
I seek a hand, a gentle touch,
But find I’m longing far too much.
