
New Year, Old Resolutions
Friends, we have embraced the new year, 2024, with enthusiasm and high spirits. First and foremost, I extend warm wishes for a Happy New Year filled with joy and happiness.
At the beginning of this year, we often make resolutions, promising ourselves to undertake significant endeavors and bring about personal transformations.
However, the reality of these resolutions is well-known to us. In today’s world, resolutions often become a mere facade, created for the sake of appearances or influenced by what we see others doing.
Until we have a strong desire and firm commitment, making resolutions, no matter how grand, remains ineffective. It requires making oneself accountable.
Indeed, the circumstances of the past year were not so good for me, and for various reasons, I have adhered to my resolutions not up to my satisfaction. Now is an appropriate time to reflect on each resolution and understand why many of them remain unfulfilled.
Let’s delve into a review of each one:

Morning Walk and Yoga:
While I continued with our morning routine of waking up early and practicing yoga last year, there were occasional lapses. This year, my resolution is to not only maintain these practices but also incorporate a regular five-kilometer walk into my routine.
I need to build upon the positive habits I’ve already established and embrace new, healthy habits to further enhance our well-being. By proactively prioritizing physical activity and mindfulness, I am aiming to cultivate a holistic approach to my overall health and daily lifestyle.
I am confident that this disciplined approach will contribute to my overall sense of balance, energy levels, and mental clarity.

Reducing Tea Consumption:
Despite previous attempts to reduce tea intake, I often faced challenges. This time, my resolution is to gradually decrease tea consumption and limit it to two cups a day, striving to stick to this commitment.
Avoiding Harmful Thoughts:
Recognizing that focusing on our own flaws and criticizing others negatively impacts our well-being, I resolve to refrain from harboring negative thoughts. Instead, I aim to appreciate the positive actions of others and celebrate even small my achievements.

Limited Use of Social Media:
The significance of social media in today’s times cannot be overstated. It has become an integral part of our daily lives, affecting how we communicate, consume information, and interact with the world around us.
In light of this, it is crucial for me to recognize the impact of social media usage and to set intentions for its role in my life. I am committed to restricting its usage to meaningful and knowledge-enhancing activities, emphasizing the importance of genuine connections and the pursuit of valuable insights.
By doing so, I aim to avoid unnecessary distractions and maintain a balanced approach to our online interactions.
As I navigate the ever-evolving landscape of digital connectivity, my commitment to responsible and purposeful social media usage remains unwavering. I believe that by prioritizing meaningful and knowledge-enhancing activities, I can cultivate a space where authentic connections and valuable exchanges thrive, enriching my online experiences and contributing to my broader intellectual and emotional well-being.
Controlling Anger and Choosing Happiness:
Understanding the destructive nature of anger, I resolve to control it and actively seek happiness. I recognized that anger not only harms my physically but also affects my mental well-being. Choosing happiness is a conscious effort toward leading a fulfilled life.

Allocating Time for Personal Pursuits:
In the fast-paced life we lead, we often neglect personal interests. This year, I commit to carving out time for myself and pursuing hobbies and passions beyond the demands of work and family.
It’s essential to prioritize self-care and personal growth, as neglecting my own hobbies and passions can lead to burnout and a lack of fulfillment. By dedicating time to activities that bring my joy and fulfillment, I not only enhance my well-being but also bring a renewed sense of energy and creativity to my professional and personal life.
Yes, by diving back into a long-lost hobby and embracing my passion for drawings and arts, I resolved to do at least one sketch per day, and for the whole year, I am set for 1000 sketches and paintings.
I have to balance outside of our daily responsibilities and my hobbies for a fresh perspective. This commitment to self-discovery and personal development is an investment in me that can positively impact every aspect of my life, what I think.

Avoiding Wasteful Activities:
Realizing the preciousness of time, I resolve not to waste it on unproductive or frivolous activities. Every moment will be utilized thoughtfully to contribute to personal growth and fulfillment.
Self-Reliance in Work:
I understand the importance of self-reliance and commit to completing tasks independently. Depending on others for my work shall be minimized, fostering a sense of accomplishment.

Friendship with Enlightening Books:
Recognizing the value of knowledge, I resolve to befriend enlightening books. There are many insightful books on our shelf that remain unread, and this year, I have made a list of Books to be read and commit myself to complete at least 50 books on different aspects of life.

Regular Blogging and Artistic Pursuits:
My blogging journey started three years ago, and I am happy to share that WordPress has recognise me with 1000 Blog posts in a row. This year, I aim to continue it with increased diversity. Additionally, we commit to daily drawing and painting, nurturing our newfound passion.
Friends, considering the challenges posed by the present environment, we must remain flexible in our resolutions and be open to adapting them as needed.
Yes, I will periodically review my progress, ensuring that my resolutions remain aligned with my evolving circumstances. I invite you to share your thoughts and predictions about my success in resolutions.😂😂
