Once visited a chocolate factory, with my granddaughter
A dream chocolate bar stood tall, looking at me with laughter.
Forbidden by age, tears streamed down my face,
But love’s radiance shone through, filling the space.
She held my hand, her touch tender and pure,
A tiny piece of chocolate, love’s gesture to endure.
I broke a piece, a bite with trembling delight,
And tasted the magic, that chocolate so bright.
Oh, the flavors that danced upon my tongue,
A symphony of bliss, as if angels had sung.
At that moment, as if time stood still,
A taste so profound, it gave me a thrill.
But more than the chocolate, the sweetness it held,
was the love of my granddaughter, so heartfelt.
Her eyes filled with wonder, her smile so bright,
As we shared that chocolate, was the purest delight.
For love knows no bounds, it conquers all,
Even doctor’s orders, even walls so tall.
In that chocolate factory, a bond was made,
A memory etched forever, like a serenade.
Yes, I reminisce on that emotional day,
I cherish the love that came my way.
